🧑🏽‍🍳 A Corona Chef

This is my way of saying the pandemic turned me into one of the banana bread baking, dalgona coffee brewing hooligans. As an amateur cook and a food enthusiast, I most frequently find myself cooking Indian, Italian, Mexican and Asian cuisines when I’m not dumping all the leftovers into a “stir-fry” 😌.

Here are a few of my recent culinary endeavors. Clockwise from left:

  • Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli w/ Rice

  • Bloody Beans (Garbanzo beans, beets and Brussels sprouts)

  • Homemade red velvet cake in a berry bath

🤓 Language Nerd

Being born in South India, which has totally different languages for each state, multi-lingual households are very common. However, I had always been fascinated by words, etymology and languages in general. I grew up bilingual speaking in Telugu and English. At school I gained fluency in Hindi and French which were my chosen language electives. In college I took Spanish and I am currently in the process of learning German.

🗺 Travel Junkie

I’ve been fortunate to be able to travel and visit 14 different countries across Asia, Europe and North America. I’m grateful to say I have a warm bed and a meal in all of these countries with open invitations from the friends I've made, traveling. My most recent and favorite trip is one within the US (pre-pandemic), to Hawaii. Be it the trek ⛰ to the top of Haleakalā or the surf 🌊 on the coast of Maui, Hawaii was breathtaking.
